sunday.... and a SUNday it was:)

store numba two had a supa fly bbq on sunday. lets just say we all happily gained two to three inches around our waistes....perfect. there were so many bebbees there. i am holding little bruce junior, he is rosa and bruce seniors little bundle of joy, shalynna is holding charity, she is sam's baby and so smilely. this tike you see below me is de-andre. he is six months and OF COURSE he is gnawing on a full of chicken bone.. chocking hazaards? who gives right (funny side note, i asked jamie how to spell gnawing i was like "it is with a k or a n?" "its a G" haha what is with the english language?!?!)

i am not so sure how much jamie likes this picture but i feel like it portrays my photography skills to a T. amazing? ya i thought so.. no not so much but to me... it rocks and i rock and am the next .....ha i dont even know a good photographer to call myself. picaso. that'll do.
we went out to sting ray city on this little dinky dinky boat. the sting rays were MOTHA FREAKIN HUGE!! we wanted to hop in but we were still wearing our dresses from church, once again who gives thou right so we jumped in. we didnt mind that anyone with goggles (so everyone but us) could see under water therefore seeing us and our wahoos! yikes! THANKFULLY i was wearing bike shorts but haha jamie... oh jamie yes indeed she was wearing little undies with cute little pink flowers on them! HOW EMBARASSING! im glad that didnt stop her though because we had such a good time with the steve irwin murderers.

the calling....

we are the nursery teachers in our branch down here. awesome. we love kids, we do... just not more than one at a time.... is that so bad?? this little boys name is dillan. our lesson on sunday was "What We Can Do for Our Brothers and Sisters" his response, "nothing." "can we share our toys with them dillan?" "NO! they have their own town box in their room!" haha "uh...ok go play with the blocks" no we are not that bad but he is a pill. he is 4 and should not be in nursery but he is having a " hard time making the transition" haha i think under-neither it all he is really the smartest four year old out there. he is in nursery playing with toys and getting snacks when all the other kids his age our cooped up in a room forced to fold their arms with NO snacks. its all how you look at it i say.. and dillan is working it!

This is Christopher. He threw up only THREE times on sunday. poor little guy. he speaks so english. not a lick of it. this doesn't mean he speaks spanish though. he speaks nothing. the only word he knows is "GOAL!" whenever he kicks a ball that is what he yells. so adorable minus the barf;)

we often take sunday walks in nursery. the kids get to relax, since nursery is such a stress, and see a new environment. they love it. two laps around the church usually has them beat and we can just read stories the rest of the time. GENIUS!

no saying no

One of the women that works in the store asked us over to dinner on thursday night. her name is olga. she has two overly rambunctious little girls. they are such divas and dance like they belong in a strip club, they love barbies and they never shut up to say the least. adorable. but it is a lot to take in when you are around them. their names are Ashley and Ashanti. Olga was going to pick us up at the church right after institute. before we headed to institute we called her just to confirm all of our plans. this is how the conversation went. C=Casey O= Olga
C: hey Olga i am just calling to make sure that it is okay that you take us home after we eat dinner.
O: oh yes baby it is totally fine we can take you home unless you want to just sleep over??
C:.......................................uh?... ( covering the phone with my hand "jamie..... she wants us to sleepover?? what?")
J (jamie): .............................uh? what??? tell her...............uh.........
C:..............................(uncovering the phone) OK! ( inside my head.... what??)
O: oh! great! ok bye!......hey girls guess what jamie and casey are click she hung up.
After we talked to the girls for a good solid 45 minutes, jamie and i getting in two maybe three full sentences between the little munchkians telling us EVERYTHING that has happened in their six short years of life, we whipped out the barbies and jumped into "pretend" world. ok so pretend you are the mom and i am the sister and pretend that we are going shopping, but pretend i forgot my purse.... i love pretend. i miss pretend. most of the time when we played pretend we forgot to actually pretend and just talked about what we were going to pretend. anyways luckily dinner was finished and we slide back into real life to enjoy a DELICIOUS dinner of steak and potatoes and chocolate cake that no one ate besides jamie and i.. hello fat joke.

the girls fell asleep before us, because they are like 4 and 6 years old pratically babies, and even though jamie and i have been going to bed pretty early, falling asleep with two kicking, rolling, drooling divas smooshed with all four of us in a princess twin sized bed... well lets just say we got bored... and got out the camera. we were trying to get in.... well i dont know what the ultimate goal with these pictures were but we have awesome hair and i have not laughed that hard, and quietly all at the same time in MY 19 years of life.

we woke up before them too, and say in bed and chilled until mama olga came to wake us up, three hours later, haha what a night to remember.  i am glad we didn't say no because Olga would have been offended and this post would not exist and lets be honest this is a funny post.
enjoy
love jamie and casey in the not so pretend world of sleep-overs with babies.

that's nice

ever heard of an adjective? by definition,  it is a word that describes a noun or pronoun. Out here in cayman no one knows or has EVER heard of these strange things we call adjectives. WHAT??? you may say. but i am being totally serious. the only ONLY adjective they know is "nice". they say "that's nice" to everything and jamie and i have caught on. we have lost 12 years of speaking english and expanding our vocabulary to only be able to spit out "that's nice" whenever asked a question. so pathetic..

Casey: How do i look today jamie?
Jamie: Nice

Casey: This cake looks nice

Jamie: This perfume is nice

Casey: That run was nice

Jamie: Dinner sounds nice

Casey: nice

seriously we are coming home with more money in our pockets but less brains in our heads.

Regardless of what the internet says they do not speak english here. it is broken english. it is a mix of jamaican, spanish, caymanian and with a Honduran accent. They say "we" instead of "us" for example "that guy was mean to we. what about we? we's not invited?" oh a few more we have picked up on... bananers, unbreller, salerd, potaters. they love the "er" endings, they throw it on the end of everything. WHATAGWAN means what's going on? GERL WHAYANAM means girl what you eating. i know. you're thinking in your head what in the world how do they get that from that? but keep saying it and eventually you will be able to hear the resemblance. promise.

WE FOUND FOOD COLORING!!

there is nothing better to do on rainy days but cook. and boy did we cook. while cooking I, casey madsen, came across something that made a regular rainy night and day into something spectacular! sorry jamie i gave you no credit there  haha dont cry. it is just that i, casey madsen, found FOOD COLORING!!!!!!!!!!!and suprised my dear friend, jamie brady with GREEN macaroni and cheese, (i know mom and abby you cant believe i am eating it!!) BLUE carrot cake frosting!! and RED eggs, that for some reason tasted SO gross. gag. dont get sicked out by the picture of the train wreck in my mouth or the egg haha just know that it made our night a whole lot of fun! and the carrot cake was SO DELICIOUS so credit does go out to jamie there for making it and to mrs. sandy brady for inventing the beautiful thing! taryn my blog ROCKS!!!!

jamie casey and the ark

well it's me again. haha hello. we are currently experiencing something called a tropical storm. ITZ OFF DA CHAIN!!! it will be sunny and then ten seconds later sheets and sheets of water, not rain drops SHEETS OF WATER, are pouring on you and you are stuck on  your bike, naturally, on the ONE DAY WE BOTH WEAR JEANS so they are getting so heavy and peddling is not longer easy and fun it would better be compared to that 530a.m. cycling class at the gym with the skinny old platinum blonde haired lady yelling at you to go faster but you want to throw up because the pain in your legs feels like your muscles just got cut open and someone is pouring lemon juice in them, naturally, and the mascara is in your eyes so bad you can barely see, and the bikes start to make weird squeeky sounds so you cant help but laugh, while thinking how much you want to eat the last piece of carrot cake that is in the microwave....the ride home for lunch in the rain will, always, naturally, get the best of you. i dont think any of you readers ( cool we have readers) will understand this. but jamie and i do and it is so funny.

upgrade!! bikes to hogs

when jamie and i first found out that we were going to cayman we were like "dude! we will be able to ride our bikes everywhere!!" well all we have to say about that now is "dude! SO NO!" the island is huge haha.... seriously. seven mile beach when your peddling in 100% humidity and 90 degree weather with a huge beach bag on your back stuffed with lunch, water bottles, inflatable balls, hammocks, beach towels and cameras feels more like 47 miles. no joke. we are way to cheap to buy a car ha who needs cars so we got the next best thing. A SCOOT!! ha ha beep beep! we love it. it hauls. we're talking 35MPH. parents do not worry we do indeed have helmets to protect our noggins. well until next time (which will be in the next few minutes because i am trying to prove something to taryn) enjoy the pictures of our scooter. and i am sorry the one of jamie is sideways and the one of the boats in a previous post. that is the one negative about blogging i can never flip the stupid pictures. gr..

post for shalynna

it is about time that we give a shout out to our new dear dear friend shalynna.
she is a little ball of fire and so great. she is the girl that you want to be but dont ever bother trying to be like her because you know it is such an unreachable goal so you just constantly envy her...ha you all know exactly what i am talking about. here are a few things to describe her: she is the cutest skinniest thing ever with totally rocking long EDGY black hair with short bangs that totally make her look so posh and straight out of vouge. she is the girl that wears skinny jeans, the type of girl that should wear skinny jeans unlike so many of us who should just stick with the flare leg or capris, she is an excellent chef and is so friendly. she shines goodness and i dont think that there is a soul out there that would not agree with me. she can make conversation with anyone about anything and never has awkward moments, she has such a strong testimony and is just the best we could have asked for. she is such a good example to jamie and me. anyways the reason i am posting a picture of burnt banana bread egg white and salsa, looks a little bit more like blood and guts but i can assure you that it is not, is because i read on her blog, oh ya she is a great blogger i even think the she blogs she blogs girl would agree, that she likes pictures of breakfast food. so we are her friends and are going to support her weird little fetish and put up a picture of our breakfast. so there you go shalynna. ha cheers

nothing to sale/sell, nothing to buy, nothing to do...

ok so when i said we were low on inventory ( i said that to my ma) i was not lying... these are our poor little shelves in store 2. there is absolutely NOTHING sell, sale... whatever way that is supposed to be spelled. the only time that we make a sell, sale,.... WHATEVER, is when someone that is a double XL comes in or someone that is a XS. and they cant be picky oh no they cant. they get this shirt or that shirt take it or leave it ugly or cute that is all we got and if you want to see color change. BUY IT. and they do and we rake in about $100 a day. awesome. ok .. so feel bad for us and our store because having an extremely easy nothing to do all day but hope someone super fat or super small comes in to buy a shirt living on an island soaking up the rays is hard work. ( my favorite picture is the one of the finger nail polish stand, that is the one that is the glowing white box drawing people near to it only for them to realize that we dont have ONE bottle... ah...)

picnic at the beach...ah... jealous yet?

Today was a big day. It is cayman's constitution day so we didn't have work and it is the missionaries P-day so what did we do? GO TO THE BEACH OF COURSE!! The two elders that are here in cayman are Elder Snyder ( dark haired one) and Elder Robertson. They are so cute. They are such fun boys. It is SO weird to me that they are our age. Missionaries always seem so much older and so holy haha The senior missionaries are the Packs. They are SO funny! Sister Pack is such a diva LOVE IT! and Brother Pack is the most kind hearted man ever. They have only been out here for a few months. i feel like they are all of our temporary parents while we're out here. In These pictures of the missionaries they were trying to catch a stupid little lizard. They were so determined to catch it.... but sadly it got away from them. We had such yummy food! The hot dogs especially. David and Shaylynna ( sorry i totally cant spell your name shaylynna!!) are the cutest people ever. we love them and would not be enjoying experience as much as we are without them. i really bet we will be life long friends and they will like come to our weddings and stuff haha because that is what life long friends do ya know ha..

Sara, Seth, David, and Shaylynna, the Ormond's, and the missionaries were all there. It was fun. We just talked laughed and had a jolly ol time. We didn't get to see any fireworks though.... ah... always next year! (oh the little blonde girl is the Ormond's oldest, Callie. She is So cute! she just barely turned two! look how tall she is!)

the beach...woops i mean OUR BACKYARD!!

Cayman is such a beautiful place. Jamie and I feel so blessed that we are able to live here and to always be surrounded by such a beautiful atmosphere. Hope you enjoy these pictures and hopefully they make you so green with envy you ALL will come visit us;

cuts made easy!

so the other night we came home from dinner at hard rock cafe which was SO delicious! to find this over sized van in our parking lot... haha it has the name "just cuts" plastered along the side of it. This is how so many people get their haircuts! how bizarre is that.It totally looked like a for real barber shop inside too. Black and White tile floor and cushioned vinyl inside wall things... ha we asked if we could get pictures of it and told them they were going to be famous. they were so excited. This van pulls in our parking lot about every two weeks so... who know one day maybe we'll have him cut our hair for us. NOT!
